Macalla Taoide is a collaborative exhibition of printmaking, sculpture and photography by artists Verona Stellet and Carol Kennedy.
Inspired by the sea and Ireland’s coastal landscapes, the exhibition explores the relationship between people and the marine environment, reflecting on themes of pollution, environmental change and the emotional resonance of our oceans and shorelines. The works consider the coast as both a natural ecosystem and a space shaped by human activity, inviting viewers to reflect on the impact of this evolving relationship.
Drawing inspiration from numerous research trips to the Irish coastline, Stellet and Kennedy respond to shared experiences and observations through distinct artistic practices. While united by a common source of inspiration, each artist brings a unique perspective and visual language to the exhibition, resulting in a compelling dialogue between print, sculpture and photography.
Thoughtful, atmospheric and environmentally conscious, Macalla Taoide offers an engaging exploration of place, memory and the changing nature of Ireland’s coastal environments.

An exhibition of fine-art etchings by Susan Early charting a journey around Ireland’s coast through its lighthouses and Martello towers.
Susan Early is a visual artist, printmaker and architect. She is a member of Graphic Studio Dublin where she creates etchings, using aquatint on a single copper plate to produce subtle fine-art prints of tone and colour, each is inked and hand-printed by the artist.
Through these prints, Susan Early examines lighthouses and martello towers as enduring maritime landmarks—structures shaped by their landscapes, responsive to the elements and emblematic of protection, navigation and resilience at the meeting point of land and sea. Shaped by both geography and climate, these landmarks were conceived not only as navigational beacons but also as protective refuges, homes and workplaces. Through their enduring presence, they reveal a dialogue between land and sea, permanence and change, architecture and the elemental forces that continue to shape the Irish coast.

ART PRINT RESIDENCE SPAIN

There is no specific Call for submission to work in Art Print Residence. We are open all year on a first come, first served basis. So book in advance and be sure there is space to accommodate you and your project.
Residency period:
minimum 1 week – maximum 3 months
In case the artist needs a longer period to develop his project we can study this possibility.
The artists in residence must live in the apartment during the residency.
