Residency: Tyrone Guthrie residency 2026 recipient announced

Thank you to everyone who applied for this year’s PNI Tyrone Guthrie Centre residency. The selected artist is:

Fran Keegan (Graphic Studio Dublin)

Comhghairdeas mór Fran! Fran will spend one week at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrigh.

During the residency, Fran plans to do a mix of field research and studio work.
The natural world, wild birdlife and the places they inhabit are central to her work. She wishes to make use of the immediate environment at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre as a place of research and source for developing further linocuts.
She is excited at the prospect of discovering what birdlife the wetland habitat supports at this time of year at Annaghmakerrig Lough. Observing and recording through drawing and photography is an essential part of her process and preparation for all her linocuts. The use of Albion and Rochat presses in the print studio will give Fran the time and space to execute this work.

This is the second residency at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre for a member of Print Network Ireland (PNI).
